The weather has been cool and fairly nice here in Paraguay for the past two months since we arrived. Yesterday weather conditions took a turn for the worse. The temperature climbed, and a temperature inversion has trapped the smoke coming from field burning. The smoke, or "bruma," has been simply awful. I heard that it can trigger respiratory issues and asthma. It has definitely exacerbated the cold I caught last weekend. It continues to nag, and I can’t quite shake it. Today is the best I’ve felt since Saturday, but I’m still not fully recovered. I hope this bruma doesn’t last very long. La Nacion carried a story on it today with a photo of a plane (one of the few) taking off at the airport:
Hope you are ok now. Take care.
